Ritabrata Das' Spring/Summer Look with LOLA Make Up
Get the Spring/Summer look with Lola Makeup
It’s that time of the year again when I come out of my hibernation to sport my flamboyant side with my ‘fresh as a daisy’ makeup look! I was sent few items by LOLA MAKEUP to try out and give my reviews about the products and I thought what better way to put them to test than using it for this look. Read on to find out how to achieve this look and how the products from Lola Make Up fared!
EYE MAKEUP:
Pastel hues look vibrant in Summer and I opted for a pink/orange coloured eyeshadow on my lid. I used the LOLA AUTOMATIC EYE PENCIL 01 CLASSIC BLACK to create a winged eyeliner. As I have hooded eyes, I wanted my eyeliner to be thin yet prominent. The Lola eye pencil is easy to work with as it has a thin tip and can glide on the eyes like a dream. I have tried kohls in the past to create winged liners and it has failed as it tends to get uneven and even smudge. With the fine tip of the Lola Automatic eye pencil, I could create the fine wing that I wanted. The liner does not budge and stays put. You can also smudge as you like to create a more smoked out effect. Lola products are all vegan and cruelty free and that is an added advantage. For my lower lash line, I opted for a sea green coloured eyeshadow and used some holographic pressed glitter on my inner corner.
Wearing falsies can be quite daunting especially when you want a simple yet long-lasting look for the day. In this look, I have skipped the falsies altogether and instead opted for the LOLA MEGA VOLUME MASCARA. After curling my lashes with an eyelash curler, I applied two coats of the mascara both on my upper and lower lashes. The product was non-drying and non-clumpy. I would suggest using at least two coats of the mascara in order to get that voluptuous volume. I could easily remove it with an oil based cleanser later on. It also gave some definition to my lower lashes.
POCKET PINCH:
LOLA AUTOMATIC EYE PENCIL: £8.95
LOLA MEGA VOLUME MASCARA: £11.95
LIPS:
This is the part which can either make or break a look. For the fresh spring/Summer look, I reached out for the LOLA MAKEUP LOVE MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK 01 FIRST DATE. Now, I have a love/hate relationship with pinkish toned lip colours as I am quite choosey. This lip colour was a perfect blend of dark/light toned nudish pink which I would also wear on a daily basis. The formulation is creamy yet matte and not too drying. If you set it with a bit of translucent powder, it is quite non-transferable.
Finish the look with a setting spray and you are ready to slay all day long
