Sandyxo Product Reviews of LOLA Make Up
LOLA Make Up by Perse has been on my radar for a while after seeing various beautiful images and reviews of their products on my Instagram feed. I have checked the range out on a few occasions while browsing at my local Marks and Spencer beauty department but couldn’t decide on what to purchase! Some weeks ago, I was kindly sent a few items to try. Check out the beautiful packaging and my thoughts in this post!

Packaging
Simple and sleek matte black which I love. Very high-end looking!
Matte Long Lasting Lipstick 114 Red Velvet| £11.95
A beautiful red with blue undertone, my favourite kind of red (doesn’t make my teeth appear yellow). I’m truly impressed with the pigmentation it offers. Opaque in one layer, glides on my lips without tugging. The finish is a smooth, dimensional matte without emphasising my lip lines. The lasting power is worth raving about too. It’s not transfer proof yet it lasts all day on my lips with some expected fading after eating and drinking. Once totally faded, it leaves a beautiful, even stain behind. Thanks to the inclusion of Vitamin E and Jojoba oil, the formula is nourishing and doesn’t feel drying on my lips. I have tried A LOT of matte lipsticks and this one definitely gets a thumb up from me!
Lip Pencil Cherry 007 | £7.95
The packaging gives me all the Chanel feels. The Pencil comes Double Ended with a lip brush at one end which I always appreciate.
Cherry is a pink toned red with excellent pigmentation. It outlines my lips precisely and effortlessly without any tugging. I can reshape and cheat for a fuller lips with ease. It does a great job of preventing my lipstick from feathering.
Ultra High Shine Gloss 010 | £5.95
Personally I think clear lip gloss is a girl’s secret power. It can instantly change your whole look! Your lips look juicier and more voluminous.
I love that this clear lip gloss can be worn over any lip colour to vamp up your makeup look. LOLA’s Ultra shine gloss formulation is based on hyaluronic acid filling to give that desired volume. It also includes an active vitamin complex that helps protect and moisturise your lips. It truly makes my lips appear plumper and volumised without the stickiness or gloopiness. The high shine stays on for hours after application.
Let’s move on to some face and eye products!
Illuminating Base | £15.95
It’s a lightweight, oily free cream which features light-diffusing diamond core powder and micro mineral pearls to even out skin tone and improve skin texture by deflecting light, giving skin radiance and natural glow. There are micro sparkles that can only be seen if you directly shine some bright light on it.
It spreads out easily and sinks into my skin rapidly giving a smoother and more radiant finish. My complexion appears brighter and healthier. I love that it doesn’t leave any greasy residue or tackiness. My foundation glides on effortless for a flawless finish.
The base works well with some of my usual sunscreens without any pilling up.
Highlighting Concealer Pen 003 | £13.95
This was an item that I didn’t quite fall in love with. I think the shade was too dark for me to have a highlighted effect. In the swatch below, you will see that this shade has a peach tone which can cancel out the dark circles effectively. I love that the formula is creamy and bouncy which aids the blend-ability.
I have been layering a lighter concealer on top to illuminate my under-eye areas.
Satin Eyeshadow 042 Tea Rose | £7.50
Tea Rose is a medium dark pink with a gorgeous golden shift and a satin finish. The texture is finely milled and smooth to the touch. I find the pigmentation to be amazing and buildable. There isn’t much powder kickup when I dip my brush in. It blends out effortlessly with a smooth finish. The golden shift gives the eyelook a sophisticated feel. Tea Rose last well on my oily lids for over 6 hours.
As you could probably tell, I am impressed with what I have tried. Excellent quality at mid-range pricing. I’d highly recommend the lip liner and the matte lipsticks.
