Sonam Lotay's Review of LOLA Make Up
Testing LOLA Make Up
I was kindly sent some products to try from LOLA Makeup by Perse. One of the reasons I was so excited to try their products, was because of the message behind the brand – for make up to enable women to feel empowered, be confident and enjoy life.
Additionally, they have a wide range of affordable products with a variety of different shades, so there really is something that will suit everyone's preferences.
Mega Volume Mascara // Black
When it comes to mascaras I usually either like it, or not – there really isn’t an in between for me. The Mega Volume Mascara does exactly what it says it does; provides volume and extra definition. The wand is perfect length, and the brush is soft and shaped so that you can get underneath the lashes and curl them upwards.
Matte Liquid Lipstick Love Collection // 01 First Kiss
I’ll admit that when I saw the colour in the bottle, I wasn’t overly keen as I never usually lean towards pinks that aren’t nude. However, this shade is a gorgeous shade and it’s not as bright as I thought it would be. I would describe the formula of this to be more of a soft matte finish as it is hydrating and very comfortable to wear. The applicator is a really good size and helps to the apply the product smoothly. The thing I like the most about this liquid lipstick is that it doesn’t “bleed’ like a lot of other pigmented liquid lipsticks.
Automatic Eye Pencil // 001 Classic Black
I prefer to use eye pencils on my waterline, however it is so difficult to find pencils that don’t fade. This retractable pencil is waterproof and smudge proof and so it lasts throughout the day. The pencil is pigmented and creamy which enables the product to apply smoothly. The tip is very slim, and so if you do use it on your top eyelid, it will help create a precise wing.
