TESTING OUT LOLA MAKE UP

Disclaimer: *The products mentioned in this blog post were kindly sent over as PR in exchange for my honest opinions*

Today I’m going to be testing out a few products from a brand called LOLA Make Up. I was kindly sent over a little PR package from them which included a mascara, an eye pencil and a liquid lipstick for me to try out.

The Mega Volume Mascara costs £11.95. The Automatic Eye Pencil costs £8.95. The Matte Liquid Lipstick costs £7.95.

MEGA VOLUME MASCARA – BLACK

It is cruelty free, paraben free and vegan.

First impressions

When I first opened the mascara I knew I was going to like the wand as its plastic bristles and is decent in size. The mascara also has a slight scent to it, nothing too overpowering but just bear that in mind if you are someone sensitive to scented products. The wand picks up a nice amount of product on the bristles and distributes the product well onto the eyelashes. Now it claims to be a volume mascara, however, I would say this is more lengthening than volumising… it does add a tiny bit of volume but nothing dramatic! The mascara is very black and just the right consistency for what I like, not too wet in formula but also not too dry. It could possibly transfer slightly if you’re not careful but it does dry on the lashes pretty quickly. Overall, I do like this mascara and will use it quite often. However, if you are on the look out for a volumising mascara then this probably wouldn’t be it. If you’re looking for a lengthening mascara then this is nice!

AUTOMATIC EYE PENCIL – 001 BLACK

It is cruelty-free and vegan.

First impressions

This product does not have a scent to it which is good for those who may be sensitive to scented products! I like how skinny this eye pencil is and the fact that it is a twist up pencil rather than sharpening is a win (I find pencils you have to sharpen so messy) When I swatched this and used it on my eyes the formula was so quick and easy to work with, its nice and creamy and has good pigmentation. You don’t have to press very hard with this product at all! It is a nice black eye pencil and lasts for quite a long time in the waterline without having to reapply constantly. If you want a new eye pencil then I would definitely recommend this one!!

MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK – 01 FIRST DATE

There is 3.1ml of product in this. It is cruelty-free and paraben free (not vegan).

First impressions

When I first opened the product I noticed that it does have a slight scent to it but nothing overpowering and you can’t smell it when its on the lips either. The shade I received is a nice mauve pink sort of colour. The formula of this liquid lipstick is quite moussy and has decent pigmentation to it. It applies onto the lips very easily and I dipped the applicator in twice which covered the entirety of my lips. The lipstick does dry down fully matte but doesn’t feel drying at all, it actually feels quite comfortable to wear. I think throughout the day this does have the possibility to crack and clump up in areas on the lips but overall it has good wear time to it. When removing the lipstick, it did come off very easily and didn’t stain so you may have to reapply if you’re eating or drinking with this on. Overall, I really like this lipstick however, I would have liked it to be slightly bigger as the applicator is quite small meaning you have to dip it back in when applying. If you want a mini sort of lipstick for travelling then I think this would be nice and if you’re into mauve pinks then this is a very nice shade!

I really like all of the products that I got in this little package and feel so grateful for being sent them over, just want to say a big thank you to LOLA Make Up
